Its a Boy's World at my House

My world is blue, but in a good way. I'm happy to announce that Kingston will be a big brother to his future best friend, Zatique (? not positive on the name yet?), his baby brother. I'm feeling a bit sad that I'm already moving some of Kingston stuff to another room so his room can go to his brother. There's a custom changing table in the room and Zatique will be using Kingston's crib. Once the baby is born Kingston will have a toddler bed all ready for him in the "green room". I have a lot of nesting to do. There's so much of my personal crap to get rid off or at least move downstairs. I hate to do it because our downstairs really needs to be remodeled or at least upgraded. I have a doctors appointment today and I think they have some bad news from my blood test because I got a call from the nurse the day before my "reminder" call from the reception about my appointment. No sense in worrying or being negative, I'll just post the results when they tell me tomorrow.

First Halloween

Kingston was a lion for his first Halloween

I've said it a million times and I'll say it again, time first by so fast. This was Kingston's first Halloween. Mama put him in a lion costume. I almost cried because I was scared he wouldn't fit it. I had bought it a month early and when he tried it on at the store it fit him with even a little room, but a month later it was high water. I couldn't believe how much he grew in a month.

Can you see it? High waters?!?
We had a very lazy day. We hung out at home all day until late afternoon, then we were off to grandma and grandpa's house for an early dinner. The boys attempted to trick-or-treat but none of the neighbors had their lights on. No trick!!! I honestly did not want to take him in a public place, due to the swine flu situation. Kingston and I at the time still haven't had our H1N1 shots. Maybe next year with his new little sibling. I have more photos posted on my facebook page.

My boys looking happy and ready to trick-or-treat
Too Cute!!! I know Red was not happy being a hotdog...haha...

Kingston will be a BIG BROTHER!!!

pregnancy week by week
Yes, already!!! We planned it and we are excited. Kingston and baby#2 will be 16 months apart. I know two little ones in diapers. We are not crazy we, more like me, just wanted to "get it over with". Baby #2 will probably be our last one. The morning sickness alone was enough for me to call it quits. But if I don't get my girl I might try for baby #3, maybe, a BIG MAYBE!!! Mama is doing well, besides the normal morning sickness. The only other issue is I have gestational diabetes. I have been doing well with portioning and NOT eating sugars, so I pray the baby will be healthy. I haven't had an ultrasound so I have no pictures and no idea of size, I haven't even heard the heartbeat. I will post pictures and news next week when I see Dr.Martin.

baby
As far as Kingston, he is doing well. He can now crawl on this knees and lift himself up with assistance, like his crib, the couch, mama when she's sleeping, etc. He is growing up so fast. Only a 3 more months until his first birthday. I have yet to plan his birthday. I do have a goal of finding a venue by the end of this month so I can at least make invites. I still need ideas for food, entertainment, and everything else. I'll post pictures when I get my netbook back from Dell.

Updates

Its been a while since my updates on Kingston, who will be 8 months in a few weeks. The middle of our summer was pretty uneventful since I'm back at work. We are ending the summer season with a trip on the coast for 7 days. It will be nice to get away. Kingston has been a wonderful little boy. He's most definitely a morning baby and fights us when its bed time but he gets his full 8 hours. He's discover his body movements. Kingston reaches for everything, rolls around and finally crawling, not long distances but enough to label it crawling. He's discovering his voice. He says "DADADADADA" and laughs at everything. I'm so happy I'm able to work part time, I don't miss much of his adventures.

In other updates:
Grandma Debbie is in remission. She and Grandpa Rick are in Paris enjoying their wedding anniversary. I'm so happy Kingston will have many more years with his wonderful and very kind grandma.
Grandma Cynthia is on dialysis. I haven't heard much as far as where she would get a kidney, I'm hoping one of her siblings will offer and soon. It pains me that I'm not there to know every single detail or to just see or hold her. As far as Grandpa Romeo, he's just being a farmer, working in his banana and rice fields.
Uncle Gilbert is doing his time. He will be out next year sometime. I really hope he's learned his lessons and recover. My heart sunk when the judge reminded him that he's got 2 strikes and one more and LIFE in prison will be the only option next time.

Well I'm hoping this end of the summer trip will relax me, since I've been such a crabby bitch. I start school end of September so I really need this getaway.

Grandma is Sick

I can't believe my mom is sick now too. She's probably going to needs a kidney transplant. She was born with only one and now its starting to fail her. I've been so overwhelmed this year. Its so bittersweet. First my mother in-law with the ovarian cancer then me being a first time mom and now my mom with kidney complications. The grandmothers are fighters and I know theyll pull through. My mom is in the PI right now I just want her to be here already. I'm sad that I can't hold her and have Kingston be held by her. I'm praying God will get me through but especially them. My dad will be coming also, I've missed him so much. It will be 2 years since I've seen him, he hasn't even held Kingston yet. I'll keep you posted on the progress of everyone.

First RV Trip

Our View

Thanks to some of our wedding money we got the RV trailer. It was the best $4,000, we've ever spent. We used it to go to our 2 week honeymoon along the west coast. It was the best time I've ever had, well now the second. Kingston will last more then 2 weeks but we don't mind (hehe). Ned and I decided to go to Moses Lake to see a carshow in June, but we made it a weekend trip. Kingston was great. But then again we have air condition, so we was quite comfy.
Not much too do after you walk around and seen all the cars.

We're Sick

I have tonsillitis. I have never felt so weak in my life. I'd rather give natural birth again then to the symptoms I've had the last week, at least labor is shorter. Worst of all Kingston is fighting a virus himself and I can't hold him. Besides having a stuffy nose and snotty eyes he's in good spirits. Kingston is still laughing and smiling. He's a fighter. I feel so helpless not being able to help Ned or hold our sick baby boy, but he's doing a great job. Kingston and I are both very lucky. Thanks to him we are on our way to a quick recovery. BTW Kingston is now 6 months old!!!

Sitting Down

So another milestone for Kingston, sitting. He's still learning to balance but he can sit for about 10-15 minutes. It's funny because he'll be sitting down and I put something in front of him and he'll reach for it and poof he's facing the pillows, but laughs. My mom told me it was either me or my brother, Rizaldy, that wasn't too fond on crawling and went straight to walking. I think that's going to be Kingston. He HATES tummy time. He screams his head off after a few minutes. I hope its not going to take forever for him to walk. He's working his legs because he kicks like crazy but I wish he'd be more active on the tummy time. He's 6 month check-up coming up and I'm excited. Its on the 31st so I'll keep you posted.

Everything is Funny

Kingston is so much fun. I'm really enjoying my lazy days with him. We lay around and I talk to him saying words poop, pee-pee, and stinky and he just laughs his head off.

You Talk Too Much

Kingston must love the sound of his voice because every morning he tries to wake us up and it seems to be getting louder and louder. I'm enjoying it though, I say something and he response. I love it.

Mum-Mum

Couch Potato. Watching TV and eating his Mum-Mum.
Kingston finally took to rice crackers called Mum-Mum, he's even holding it himself. So proud. I forgot to update you guys on this 4 month check-up. We found out that he's in the 90 percentile with this weight and height, I forgot his head measurement, but as you can see he's okay in that department too. He's more active, he can roll over when he's on his belly, using his legs to stay up, he laughs at everything, holding on to things, speaking baby gibberish, but most important, he's "regular". Kingston was so miserable being plugged for days at a time. I have me a very happy little munchkin.

Happy for mama.

He's is developing a little bit of a personality. Kingston is like his daddy. I'm so happy about that. He's very mellow, likes to take everything in before really responding.

Just like his daddy

Graduation Day

The very 1st BAS Hospitality Management cohort. We had a wonderful dinner at Salty's on Alki.
We just couldn't take this picture right. We tried 3 times. This was the best one. SAD!!!
It was such a bitter sweet week for me, especially on my graduation day. Although, I'll be back for fall quarter to finish 1 more class, I won't have hospitality courses. NO MORE Tom and classmates I've studied with for the last 2 years. It's actually an insult that I said classmates, I think friends is more appropriate. I wouldn't have made it through some quarters without major encouragements from them. I've shared my most important "beginnings" with the 2009 cohort, it was right after I got married, then when I got pregnant and gave birth, they were a part in the major changes that has truly transformed me to the person I am now. They are an amazing group of people that I will never forget. I know that I will cross paths with some of them and we will get together once in a blue moon, but I won't be in room 204 in the Olympic, sharing our experiences professionally, forming groups to make a final presentation, venting over homework and due dates, and just plain seeing them every Tuesday and Thursday, which as been our schedule the last two years. I wish all the graduates luck with their future and good luck to all that are just a few classes aways from completion. We weren't always friendly but glad we were the first in the program and proud when we saw each other succeed. It was a hard road for me to travel but I'm glad I got to travel it with you...

Update on Mama

Kingston is now 4 months old and many of you that has met him have been super nice with your advice and stories of your own children and their many "first", which I enjoy and look forward to seeing in my own child. And many of you also ask how I'm doing, when I attempt to reply I some how go right back to talking about Kingston. So I'm here to let anyone that has asked or care that mama is doing great.

I know I said I wasn't going to go there but I am, I will discuss the topic of "school". Let me first say that school has more meaning to me know then it has before. Marriage is one of those things that seem to be a gamble in these days (sad btw) and although I love and respect Ned with all my heart, I know nothing in life is guaranteed so my education is something I will fall back on if I were to ever be a widower or divorcee. Having Kingston just gave me that extra push I needed and really lacking, this quarter. I'm only 2 classes away from getting my bachelors in hospitality management. Although, I am walking on graduation day June 18, I won't be happy until I get the diploma on the palm of my hands.

So I have more reason to complete this goal but I'm so unmotivated then ever before. I finally realized that since I set this out as my goal 3 years ago I've been going full force and I'm finally losing steam. Instead of finishing the 2 classes this summer I will be taking the summer off and going back fall. I know I know I'm close, but I need the break. I've thought about it and I have NO MORE to give this summer. I need a break. Some of you have even called me crazy for only taking one week off after giving birth but that would have put me behind, but lucky for me I fought my body and took 5 classes the last 2 quarters and was qualified to walk this June. So although, I'm still going to be a student fall quarter, I'm glad to be 90% accomplished my personal goal. We all need a break right!?!?!?

So after all that being said, I would like to say that "I'm tired not because of Kingston but because of school and I'm glad its that way."

Update on Kingston

Kingston has his 4 month check-up. Ned and I are so excited to find out how much he's grown since his 2 month check-up. I'll post post his stats tomorrow. Below are picures for the month of May. More facial expressions and my favorite thing which I have yet to capture on video is his laugh. Melts my heart. He's also grabbing and holding things. I first noticed this when I was breastfeeding him and he pulled my hair. He's also sleeping longer during the night, 5-6 hours, this is great for Ned and I, but mostly me since I'm the one with the food. Enjoy our little Kingston pictures.

Bye-Bye Shaylee and Candace

Siya (also another hot mama), Me & Candace at Candace website launching.
An old friend, Candace, who I found at meetup.com after about 7 years has moved to Bremerton. I was so excited when I found her but now she's gone again. =( It was great to catch up. It's amazing how similar our path to life has turned out. Two import model chicks with a husband, a baby, and a dog. Who would have thought...haha...Thanks to the internet, text, and cell phons we won't lose touch ever again.

There was some confusion with our meet up group.
But the sun was out and we bought smoothies
so the day wasn't a waste.

Shaylee is such a cutie.

Now we have a reason to take the ferry and take trips to Bremerton.

Happy Birthday Cousin Nathan

Nate is in the blue shirt

I had a great time at my cousin Lani's son, Nathan, birthday party, who turned 6 years-old over the weekend. He's a very shy boy but he seems to come out of his shell when he's around Maxwell, my cousin Patrick's son. Watching the kids run around, playing nicely my I add, makes me so happy for Kingston. He will have older cousins to play with as he grows up. This generation needs a girl though, Elena, my cousin Jeffrey's daughter, is the only blood cousin since Aminah, who is 10 years-old. Hoping me, Elaine, Sheilah, or Jennie can break the testosterone enegry. God if you have a baby girl hanging around you there with you that you want to unload down here, I'll take her, in about 15 months. I'm not ready to go through pregnancy quite yet.

Growing up with my cousins we're some of the best times and have the fondest memories. Their all so funny and we just laugh it up everytime we're all together. I know when we go to family parties and I watch the kids play, will stir up some great and funny memories. Its going to be so fun this summer when we have a BBQ. We are planning a huge cousin party to take pictures and make a video for our Lola Tinang in the Philippines, its for her ?98th? birthday. She's going to enjoy seeing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. I can't wait.

Elena. Look at her dimples.

Dominic and Xiaver. Silly boys

Claire and Aminah

My favorite Ketchup Lover Josiah.

Aliyah so sweet.

Always on the go Maxwell.
