So I didn't make my May due date. I knew I wouldn't, but thought I'd make my 37th week but I was 2 days short. It was a short labor. I felt contractions all day but I didn't feel the stronger contractions til 8pm. Went to the hospital around 10pm and gave birth at 2:33am. Although this was a more painful than my first pregnancy, it was a quick one. a short 15 minutes of pushing and there he was latching on to the breast and feeding for about 1 hour. Yes, I said an hour. Davin is one week old now and feeds very well.

I said more painful for one reason and one reason only, Dr. Martin had to reach inside me to get my placenta out, yup I said it, go inside and reach for my placenta. It hurt worst than the contractions. It was the worst 5 minutes ever. I felt every movement. She reached for the placenta three times. Dr. Martin must of known it was not going to be easy because the whole time she kept apologizing. When she was done she was picking at the pan of placenta and goo to make sure she didnt leave anything inside. I must admit I was scared because my aunt died of complications with the placenta, they must of left pieces inside because she kept bleeding.

Okay, enough of the bad stuff, something funny happened, well I think its funny. My water didn't break so Dr. Martin had to break my water and it gushed out and splashed on Dr. Martin, the nurse and Ned's mom, Debbie. I was like I threw a bucket of water at them. LOL...
